Welcome To The Club

We Are Doing It Again!

The SEKDGC 2011 Show will be held on Saturday June 4th at the Fairgrounds in Coffeyville. It will be a two-ring show with Senior Does in the morning, Junior Does in the afternoon. The Buck Shows will follow the Junior Shows.

Showmanship will be held at 8:00 am Saturday.

Valley Vet is again sponsoring our show by sending many items that will be raffled for the benefit of SEKDGC. Click on the banner for more information.

Goat and Sheep animal health products at low prices with same day and free shipping on qualifying orders.

Individuals and farms are offering to sponsor the breed classes. A list of sponsors will be posted on this site and at the Show. Please contact Janet Maxwell for details.

The Southeast Kansas Dairy Goat Club July 10th show was held in Coffeyville, Kansas at the Fairgrounds. The Saturday show was a double ring show and include two buck shows held after the senior and junior doe classes.

It was a good show with many people attending who would not have been able to make it to a two day event. The bucks were an exciting as usual. It was a really big day! Congratulations to everyone who won legs on their championships. We plan to do it again in 2011.

Who We Are

The Southeast Kansas Dairy Goat Club (SEKDGC) is a group of people who are work with or just plainly love goats. The club includes people who raise dairy goats and meat goats, and those who wish to support the club through taking part in the meetings and helping at Club events.

The goal of the SEKDGC is to promote goats as a business or as a hobby locally, regionally, and nationally by participating in education programs, sponsoring 4-H projects, and showing goats locally and nationally. The Club members meet each month for goaty conversation and sponsor one or two shows each summer.

The members of SEKDGC represent diverse interests, beliefs, and lifestyles. The thing that brings us together is our interest in all aspects goat. We welcome visitors to all events!

Meeting

Exhibitors, please plan to meet sometime during the June Show. We would like to talk about plans for the coming year including money raising opportunities.

The meeting will be announced so you will all have an opportunity to take part.
